Prayer Request

Big goings-on in the quest to get Parables of a Prodigal Son published. I mean BIG goings-on.

The next few weeks will be critical.

Therefore, I covet the prayers of the 4-5 of you who stop by here on a regular basis. I covet those prayers for two reasons:

1. Please pray for God's will to be done vis-a-vis the book. I'm convinced that Parables encapsulates a powerful testimony of the God revealed in Jesus Christ. But mine is a very subjective assessment.

2. Having said that, I find myself more and more tempted by pride as this thing gets closer and closer to its goal. I keep lapsing into the mindset that I have done something special here. I have done nothing special here. God has done something special here. Please pray that I never forget that.

Grace and Peace,
Raffi

How exciting that God has chosen you to tell this story and that He has started clearing a path for it to be heard.

I've only visited your site twice, but I will certainly pray for you. Please return the favor in due time.

    Raffi,
    First off, best of luck.

In regards to the pride thing I'll say this in order to give you perspective, and I say this as someone who gets to preach nearly every week (to untold dozens of people) and as someone who tries to do so well and in an effective way. Regardless of the "success" or lack thereof of your book, when all is said and done, the things in your life that will have the greatest eternal consequences will most likely be your healing and continued restoration to your family. The generational consequences of moving towards health in your spiritual and emotional life will far outweigh even millions of people reading your book. This is not to say that the book won't or can't help people, but rather that your day to day walk matters in ways that can't be measured on Amazon.com's list of best selling books.

As this goes on have fun with it. There are many people who would like to have a book even considered. Enjoy it. I'd be jealous, but that would be a sin and I'm almost fully sanctified.

    Jonathan and Kat:

    Thanks for your kind words.

    Mofast:

For your words, thank you on a wholly different level. I'm still absorbing a lot of what you said, but when all is said and done, I think it might be one of the 5-6 pieces of wisdom that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I'd like to think that the book and the healing/restoration of my family are intertwined in a way that I can't fully understand. And maybe that's the problem; I can guage the "success" of the book, but the healing/restoration thing is something that may only produce noticeable fruit on a generational level, such that it's much easier to focus on the former...

Lot to think about. I'm glad it came from someone who is almost fully sanctified.

    Grace and Peace,
    Raffi
