Big Week Ahead: Blog Action Day, N.T. Wright and Bart Ehrman

Parables of a Prodigal World is poised for one of its biggest weeks to date.

On Wednesday, October 15, I'll be participating in Blog Action Day 2008.

Blog Action Day brings blogs from around the world to discuss an issue of global importance. Last year over 20,000 blogs participated by posting about the environment with the hope of sparking a larger discussion. This year Blog Action Day takes on the complex and troubling issue of POVERTY.

Here's a promo:

Then, on October 16th, I'll be flying up to San Francisco to catch N.T. Wright and Bart Ehrman debate (dialogue?) on the topic A Good God? A Dialogue About the Problem of Suffering and Evil, organized by Socrates in San Francisco.

OK, this part's not set in stone. But I'm gonna do my best to record the event and to post it in its entirety here on Friday, October 18th. I've asked the organizers if they would be OK with that, but I haven't gotten a response yet. Assuming I'm asked to leave, I'm gonna give it a go. So Friday might be the inaugural Parables of a Prodigal World podcast.

That's it for today. Gotta lot of planning/praying/thinking/meditating/research to get to.

Don't change that channel.

Grace and Peace,
Raffi
