The Gospel of Frank, Part III: The Rich Young Ruler
If you haven't yet been tuned in to the universe-changing discovery I made in my backyard recently (the discovery The Gospel of Frank) get caught up here and here.
Here's the next recently-translated section: the real story of Jesus and the rich young ruler, according to Frank. Congratulations, all you prosperity teachers. It seems you had it right all along:
And a rich young ruler asked him, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.'" And he said, "All these I have kept from my youth." When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "Exactly. Why do you think my Father rewarded you with all your riches? Do you not know that all those who are wealthy are already blessed by my Father? Therefore, stop worrying. For I tell you the truth, it is a logical impossibility for the rich not to enter the kingdom of heaven."
Stay tuned. More translations are rapidly emerging. Some real shockers ahead.Grace and Peace,
Raffi
